The important things first:
The labels of the original KII meter ALWAYS have a black background!

Some companies market counterfeits  of the genuine K-II gauge (popularly
referred to as a K2 meter) as a true K-II meter. The fake K2 meters are made in China
and are extremely poorly processed and extremely inaccurate. They simply provide wrong measurements. These devices are pirate copies which were also made from inferior materials.
 The label of a genuine K2 meter (located on the face of the meter) will glow under UV light.
 K-II USA is printed on the circuit board of a real K2 meter (inside the K2).
 A genuine K2 meter RRP currently costs at least €68
 The counterfeit K2 meter is sold much cheaper. Some of the devices in China only cost €4.50 and are then sold at a high price.
 The counterfeit K2 meter sometimes has the words  "USA" printed on the label. Sometimes this inscription is also missing.
Trading in counterfeit devices violates international law.
Sometimes nowadays the imprint K-II
omitted from front label and only says USA ornothing at all.

This was done to avoid infringing on the copyrighted name of the K-II EMF Meter.
