UPDATE

Alice 2 – Firmware Update (Windows)
System: Windows 10/11
Important
You perform this update at your own risk. If the connection is interrupted (e.g., unplugging the cable or a power outage), the device may become unusable and must be sent in for inspection/repair.
You need
1) Update tool: AliceUpdate.exe – download once from our Download page and place it on the desktop. Keep this tool for future updates.
2) Update file: update.pkg – you will receive a new one for each update. It can be in your Downloads folder or anywhere you saved it.
Preparation
1) Turn off Bluetooth on Windows: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → switch Bluetooth off.
2) Close all serial programs, e.g., Arduino Serial Monitor or terminal apps.
3) Keep Alice powered off.
Steps
1) Launch AliceUpdate.exe (double-click). The UI opens.
2) Click Browse and select the update.pkg file.
Example path: C:\Users\YourName\Downloads\update.pkg
3) Click Start. The updater verifies the file and may wait for the device.
4) Connect Alice while it stays off:
Plug the USB cable into Alice first, then plug the PC end in.
Do not disconnect anything and avoid heavy PC activity during the update.
5) Wait until the message OK or Update successful appears.
Finish
Press Enter, unplug the USB cable, then turn Alice on by holding the power button for about 2 seconds.
Notes
– Keep AliceUpdate.exe on your desktop for future updates.
– The update.pkg belongs to the specific update; you may keep or delete it after completion.
– If something fails: try another USB port, check the USB data cable, ensure Bluetooth is off and no serial software is running.
